Joe & Antoinette
Donahue
Elder Joe was raised in Fort Edward, NY, blessed to have grown up with a father who had a strong belief in God and expected him to attend church. Although he understood the importance of God and His existence, he learned that he didn’t know Him at all, but only had religion and lacked a relationship with Christ. He was invited by his future wife to Abiding Life in 2004. After attending and hearing The Bible preached he knew it was where he needed to be. He was conflicted about leaving his denominational church but the more he went to Abiding Life the more he knew it was where God wanted him to be. In 2006 he started going every Sunday and within a few months gave his life to the Lord. He quickly began serving the body in different capacities such as doing yard work, cleaning the building inside and out, greeting people on Sunday mornings and helping in hospitality. In 2015 he was ordained as an elder.
Antoinette was a part of the team that planted Abiding Life with Apostle Jeff and Pastor Gary in 1997. She has taken on many roles through out the years; singing on the High Praise team, counseling church members and teaching Sunday mornings. Both Antoinette and Joe are vital members of our church community that apply their gifts and talents given by God’s Holy Spirit to help our local body function as God intended.
Joe & Antoinette were reunited high school sweethearts who married in 2005. Joe is branch manager at a local gas solutions company and Antoinette is finishing her final school year as the Counselor for grades
4&5 at Queensbury. They reside in Queensbury with their son Sean.
Joe’s favorite scriptures are,
Colossians 3:23&24, “And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.”
Proverbs 3:5&6, “trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.”
