Elder John was an army brat born in Fort Lewis, Washington, but spent most of his life in the Southern Adirondacks of NY. He was going through some rough times around 2018 and reached out to five different churches. None responded to his calls for help except Apostle Jeff Wood. Shortly after being taught about Jesus he turned his life over to the Lord. His attachment and love of the people of Abiding Life can not be adequately expressed with words. John became a member of Abiding Life in 2018. After a couple of years his calling to become an elder became very apparent. In 2021 he was ordained as an elder.

John is a retired corrections officer and resides in Wilton with his wife Anne of 30 years and his father Jack.

John’s favorite scriptures are;

Matthew 22:37 “Jesus said, you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”

Mark 11:24 “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
